Myoelectric "Muscle Car"
Solo Project
Designed and built a small RC car that is steered by flexing. Built a set of myoelectric sensors to detect muscle contractions in the user's left and right arms. The signal is fed through a set of analog filters and through an analog to digital converter to an Arduino. The Arduino communicates wirelessly with the "Muscle Car" to control it. The majority of the work went into designing and iterating on the electronics to get the myoelectric sensor working consistently. The RC car itself was made out of some garbage that was in the room. Eventually I plan to use the sensor to control a robot arm.
