Group Project, Friend's PhD Work

One of my friends is on an experimental telescope research team. They needed to make a DLP star field simulator to test with. DLP dev kits cost thousands of dollars, but we found an old DLP TV sitting on the side of the road for zero dollars. We stripped the TV down as much as possible to isolate the DLP board for use in the star field simulator. The DLP board relied on signals from a large number of other bulky boards, so we spoofed these signals, eventually reducing it down to only the power supply and the board with the DLP chip.
